Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine the 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Let your mixture cool completely.
After the syrup has cooled, add the 1/4 cup of rosewater. Mix to combine.
Use your simple syrup to keep your cakes moist, and refrigerate any unused portions.
