What can I expect after I purchase a live tutorial?
Right after your purchase you'll receive an email with instructions on joining the private Facebook group- be sure to check your junk, spam, and promotions folders! In the group you'll find a workbook that outlines everything you'll need for the stream, along with access to your wonderful instructor who will be available to answer your burning questions!
What do I need to participate in a live tutorial?
An internet connection and a Facebook account (don't worry if you have to "borrow" one!) are what you'll need for every stream! In the FAQ section of each class you'll find a rough outline of the tools and equipment you need, but you will also be provided with a workbook in the Facebook group that includes EVERYTHING you'll need to participate!
How do I get the cutters for the cookie classes?
That's the best part about our cookie classes- there are no special cutters needed! Once you purchase and are added to the Facebook group you will be provided with a workbook that has templates for hand cutting your cookies, and a demo video to walk you through it step by step!
Where can I find the workbook for my class?
It will be in the "files" tab of the Facebook group. Right after your purchase you will receive an email with instructions on joining the group (be sure to check your junk/spam/promotions folder!) and you'll find everything you need in the group! We do our best to have all of the workbooks ready as soon as possible, and always make sure you have it at least a week before class!
Can I still join if I don't have a Facebook account?
Unfortunately all of our livestreams are hosted on Facebook, so you will need an account to participate. Don't worry though! Lot's of our baker's "borrow" an account from a friend or family member, or create a "dummy account" that doesn't include any personal information
Will I be able to watch the video after the stream?
Absolutely! All of our live tutorials are recorded, and the videos are saved to the Facebook group after the class so you can watch, and rewatch whenever you like!
Help! The class I wanted to sign up for is sold out!
Uh oh! Unfortunately we are unable to sell a class once it is marked as sold out. Don't worry though, we have new classes launching every week!
The date of the class I'm interested in doesn't work for me- will there be another one?
Each of our classes will only be offered once, but don't worry! If you can't make the date advertised, you can still watch the class back later as long as you purchase it before the sales period closes. All of our classes are recorded and saved to the Facebook group under the "announcements" tab :)
Will I be able to ask questions during the live tutorial?
Absolutely, and we encourage you to! We schedule in lots of breaks for Q&A during our tutorials, and a member of the How To Cake It team will be in the comments to help you along the way, and get your most burning questions to our instructors so you'll never be left in the dark.
How long can I expect the live tutorials to be?
All of our live tutorials are 2-3 hours long. Don't worry though, there is no hard stop! If we have to go over time to make sure all of your questions get answered we will :)
What will I need to prepare for the live tutorial?
The preparation you will need to do ahead of the tutorial varies depending on the class, and will all be clearly outlined for you ahead of time in your workbook, along with step-by-step pre-recorded videos where necessary. If your curious what will be necessary to prepare for a particular class, check the description- we outline it in there for you so you know what you're getting into 😉
Will I still have access to the instructors before and after the tutorial?
Yes, absolutely! Leading up to the class our instructors are frequently in the groups answering all of your preparation questions, and will pop in for a week after class in case anything comes up. We also encourage you to follow all of our instructors on social media so you can interact with them there if you need!
