When I don't use buttercream, this vanilla frosting recipe is my go-to! Its sweet, fluffy consistency makes for a delicious addition to any cake! This is also a great frosting for any How To Cake It fans who dont have a stand mixer.

  • ½  cup Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups Icing Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Whipping Cream

Preparation

Beat Butter and Vanilla

Beat butter and vanilla until smooth.


Add Icing Sugar

Add half of your icing sugar and blend on low.


Add Whipping Cream

Add whipping cream and continue to blend. Incorporate the remaining icing sugar, and beat for another 1 - 2 minutes.
