Ice cream + chocolate sauce + a cherry on top = perfection. Who doesnt love a cupcake? Chocolate cake, buttercream frosting, and sprinkles on top. Its also perfection. Combine the two, and you get the most delicious creation - Sundae Cupcakes!

  • 1x recipe Yo's Italian Meringue Buttercream

Chocolate Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Corn Syrup
  • 4 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate


  • Sour Cherry Candy Balls (or fresh Cherries)
  • Sprinkles

Watch It!

  • Prepare your muffin tin with cupcake liners and preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prepare your cupcake batter. Bake for 15 - 17 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Remove your cupcakes from the tin and place them on a wire cooling rack. Let them cool completely before frosting. Set aside.

  • Finely chop your chocolate and place in a stainless steel bowl.

  • Add butter and corn syrup to the chocolate, and set bowl over simmering water.

  • Once the ingredients have melted together, stir them gently with your spatula and set your sauce aside to cool.

  • Pipe vanilla buttercream on top of cupcakes, using a #806 tip.

  • Using a spoon, pour chocolate sauce over your cupcakes

  • Top your cupcake sundaes with a sour cherry, or a fresh one, and sprinkles! Finish with a tiny plastic spoon.
