Have you always told yourself “I’d love to try making bread someday” but never got around to it? 🍞
With all of us at home and in our kitchens, it seems like EVERYONE has been diving into bread making. If you’re one of those people, you probably quickly found out that making bread requires a lot of steps… and lots of questions arise (no pun intended).
But wait, do I have the right flour?
What yeast should I use?
My dough didn’t rise, whyyyy?
So we decided that all of this bread making called for a support group. A place to share your bread highs and lows (again, no pun intended) and learn the foundational techniques to making bread, from no-knead recipes to sourdough.
We teamed up with Suzie from @justcrumbs, culinary instructor and bread maker extraordinaire, to bring you a two-week bread making masterclass. Suzie KNOWS her stuff and is downright HILARIOUS. #girlcrush
For this masterclass, you’ll be part of an exclusive Facebook group where Suzie will teach you the basics of bread making, check in on you every step of the way, help you troubleshoot the tricky parts, and answer all of your questions!
During the two-week masterclass, Suzie will host 4 livestreams inside the Facebook group:
- Wednesday, May 13th, 1pm EST
- Friday, May 15th, 1pm EST
- Monday, May 18th, 1pm EST
- Friday, May 22nd, 1pm EST
If you can’t make the livestream times, don’t worry, the recordings will be available in the group afterwards so you can catch up! Upon registration, you’ll receive a full course plan outlining the livestream schedule, what you’ll cover in each livestreams, plus all the recipes you’ll be making.
During this two-week masterclass, you’ll:
- learn the stages of bread making
- make an overnight bread recipe
- learn how to make sweet and savoury breads and how to shape your loaves
- understand the role of yeast and learn the difference between store-bought and naturally created yeast
- learn the different types of sourdough and how to make a sourdough starter
Suzie has your back and will take you through every stage of the process so that you come out of this masterclass feeling like you finally KNOW what you’re doing and you’re ready to tackle any bread making project.
