Vanilla glazed donuts. The ultimate classic. This simple, sticky, sweet glaze will take your Giant Donut Cakes to a whole new level. Especially if you add a little bit of pink color to get that classic Homer Simpson shade.

Whipping Up Your Vanilla Donut Glaze!

Ingredients & Tools You Will Need:

3 cups Icing Sugar, plus extra

2/3 cup Whipping Cream, plus extra

1 Tablespoon Vanilla

Whisk

Sieve

Sift the icing sugar into a bowl. I divided my glaze in three portions to make mixing easier. But you can also make one batch.

Heat the whipping cream gently over low heat or in the microwave. Add the cream to the icing sugar whisking it in gently. Add the vanilla.

You can adjust the consistency of your glaze by adding more icing sugar to thicken it, or more warm cream to thin it out as desired.

Keep your glaze covered with plastic wrap directly on top, or with a damp clean towel over the bowl. This will prevent a crust from forming on top of the glaze.
