His new cookbook, New World Sourdough, is now available for pre-order and includes sourdough and bread basics, as well as other innovative baked goods with step-by-step instructions and photographs. He has committed to donating 5% of all his lifetime royalties from the sale of the book as well as 5% of his income received through his new Patreon (where he’ll be teaching a plethora of baking classes) to various causes to help combat systemic racism and police brutality. Check out his Instagram for more information on his efforts and for delicious recipes!

    Jerelle Guy

Jerelle Guy (@chocolateforbasil) is all about bringing #BlackGirlMagic into the kitchen! In her cookbook, Black Girl Baking, Jerelle throws out all the baking rules and shows that you do not have to be a baker to bake! She emphasizes that it is not necessarily about perfection but about the journey and that the kitchen should be a place to explore. Many of her recipes are tied to personal memories and she finds creative ways to reinvent them in the hopes of encouraging others to find their own therapy through baking. Check out her cookbook for the perfect baking therapy recipes!
