This month dessert artist extraordinaire Jyoti Nanra aka @thepurplecupcake_ tells us about three easy holiday bakes to try when your schedule is tight.

Hey friends! Holiday baking should be fun and relaxing, right?  But sometimes the holidays are busy AF and you don’t always have time for elaborate confectionary projects. So here are three of my fave beginner-friendly treats that will taste delish, but won’t take a ton of time. So you can spend less time stressing in the kitchen, and more time resting and indulging in happy holiday vibes with your loved ones. Happy baking!

  • One batch of meringue can make pops, kisses, nests, or wreaths ready for you to wrap & gift or plate up into easy yet impressive desserts. Meringue also has a long shelf life once baked (up to  2 weeks in an airtight container)!

  • Grab your fave cupcake and buttercream recipes, along with some ice cream cones and your favorite candies to make these seriously elevated cupcakes- bonus: this is a GREAT activity  to share with the kids!

  • Whether you need a shareable dessert for a holiday party or a seriously impressive gift, you can’t go wrong with a cookie cake! Bake up your fave roll-out cookies, and fill the layers with buttercream, ganache, or any flavor you love! Holiday tip: things like store bought jam, caramel, or even cookie butter make great fillings! Decorate the top with your fave holiday chocolates  and you’re good to go ;)
